A perfectly reasonable Buy It Now

No way that cost him $6500, unless he - wait a minute -  bought a Fender and a Suhr and had them stripped for this project?

Is there another way of doing that?  :icon_jokercolor: :icon_biggrin: Man ... you should have told us ...  :toothy12:

not worth 7000, he didnt even paint on creame binding by hand
I nearly shot milk out of my nose at this.  I got a less than pleasant reply from that fella when I asked why he ruined that neck.

meh, was curious what he had to say. he said this, though
Some of that is not correct. The body was 400, its a nicer piece of wood. Not just a normal all part or warmoth body. Plus the paint job needs to be added in there. The nect is not 182, it was 250 with maple and rosewood. Tuner gold caps where 50, suhr V60 hand wounds are 350. The bridge with tremolo was 150. Pickguard was 40. Pots and jacks are of higher grad than normal, I put these together with alessandro parts, you can go to www.alessandro-products.com if you want to check out those prices. PU covers are 20, neck plate is def not just 7, jack plate is accurate, all that gold hardware came with the parts, so that is not included in the price. It has strap locks not strap holders, which are ernie balls they are 30 dollars. Gold knobs are 45, heart decal price is accurate.

If I was making this guitar out of plain normal products then yes, on some of these you would have been correct. However this is not a run of the mill put together quickly with cheap parts guitar. If you have any other questions by all means please ask. I do not sell or say anything that is not accurate. I stand by all of my guitars that I have put together. If someone gets this for only 1,200 then its a steal. And when you hear this guitar, you will know the care which is in it.

Again if you have any other questions please ask, I respond quickly. Thanks

What a dick!  Even if he did get ripped off buying some of those  parts, he's admitting from the above that he has about $1334.85 into the axe, NOT the $6500 he claims in the listing...

OOOOOOOOHHhhhhh..I'm sOOOOOOO gonna buy that guitar!..BTW I'm selling my black Korina Hardtail Warmoth for what I have into it..around  10G... :laughing11:

Somebody send him a link to this page? Then see what he says.  I'd do it, but I don't have an ebay account.

he responded with a message to sell it to me for around $1200/$1300. here's what I sent him:
I'm not interested in buying it. I was just inquiring due to a thread on the Warmoth forums. someone posted a link, and a few people were talking about how high the price was for how much a copy of the guitar could be built with all Warmoth parts, and I decided to message for some more information. You can figure out which one I am, and rather than repeating what's been said, I'll let you read the general consenus on your rare strat.

here's the thread:

while I'm not at all slandering your ability to put together a guitar, I'm thinking asking a BIN price of more than 500% of what the guitar cost to build, and what it would cost to replicate it is ridiculously excessive. the starting price is within reason cause you have to take into thought cost of paint and labor to put it together, but the BIN price is just excessive. feel free to post in the thread.
now we wait.....

Hachi
bottom line is he is a scammer
big time drug user if you ask me
and that some idiot may just buy it

I have always felt that Ebay is a home for scammers, and it proves to be more of one every day

let him go, the idiot who buys it is the guy we need to reach, not the criminal trying to sell it.

i dont know why we pick on these. the thing is gaudy and i wouldnt want to buy it in the first place. if i just had to have something on ebay and the price was blown up like that i might send the seller a message and haggle with them, not expecting any luck but when i see something like this i just pass by. it's not worth the argument with the egotistical know it alls. if he wants to sell it he'll drop the price, if he wants to show it off on the internet he'll leave it the way it is. the owner has every right to post whatever price he wants in his ad. as much as it may amuse us we dont need to pick fights with them via email or atrack them to the board for arguments. i mean i have friends that buy cars on ebay and occasionally get a deal, they might put them back on ebay and make some money and the most agrivationg thing is when some prick sees the car up for more than the last owner sold it for and flames them via email calling them crooks. the situation with my friend is different because he posts fair market prices in those cases but we dont need to go starting crap with arogant/ignorant people.

This guy have issues! My last warmoth was a close to 1500 dollar build - but the resale value on the guitar isn't close to the price of the parts!
This guy must be using crack or something. What an idiot!

Aw c'mon Dan - making fun of this guy makes us feel like we are so much smarter than he is
