7-string OFR routing. Since Takeuchi is no more.

Not to mention, the Takeuchi was always of inferior quality.

There's just no point in continuing to rout for a bridge that's not even in production anymore. Now that Floyd Rose makes official 7-string trems, that's THE way to go.

Make it so.

Yeah, but keep the old routing saved in the CNC program.  Just because it's out of production doesn't mean someone didn't buy one waitng for that build.

that was always a mystery for me, why warmoth don't use OFR7 intead of takeuchi's

They still have a few Takeuchis left. I'm sure they know that if they were to offer OFR7 routing and stud holes, no one would even think about buying the Takeuchis. And since they don't even discount the Takeuchis (and no one in their right mind would pay anywhere near full price at this point), it's a stalemate.

Yeah. Now there are no Takeuchis left. Only 7string locking nuts by Takeuchi. (although, a like that 2" wide thingy they do... haven't seen it by Schaller or someone else.)

The availability of OFR-7's may be an issue though.

Since these are ordered in bulk, does Warmoth's 7 string market indicate that there is enough demand to warrant such a large order of 7 string Floyds?  It's possible that for Warmoth, it does not.

Another factor is that it is possible that with OEM usage of OFR-7's, most of them being manufactured & sent out to larger guitar companies for use on production instruments.

Just playing devil's advocate, but I too am a die hard 7 string user and I'll take the OFR's over any licensed any day of the week.

Now, if Gotoh made a 7 string trem like their 1996 licensed, I may re-consider, but I don't see that happening.
