7/8th P90 Plank of Possibility

Agreed ... that finish is great! Getting towards mahogany, but smoother. Must log this away for future reference. Thanks!

For the record, that was color #111 "Golden Wheat".
Next time, I am thinking about trying Azure, Turquoise, or maybe Raspberry over swamp ash...

I went to buy some shielding paint, all I saw on Amazon was some no name product: 30 ml for $36 plus tax! Did some digging, found a one liter bottle of some serious professional paint for 78 dollars... And my amazon business account piped up with a $40 coupon... So now I have enough shielding paint to do 15 guitars, and this is really nice product, I like it better than the MG stuff (which is seriously expensive too, as I remember)

"None more black"...

Today I got the bridge mounted. And threaded in the bridge ground wire to the cavity. I had to drill a hole for it as the body was ordered 'tremelo back cavity only'

Then I got to modding the pickguard to accommodate the custom Kahler hardtail. Turned out orders of magnitude more difficult than I expected... My dremel just melted it, exacto scribing was unreliable, I ended up using a mill bastard by hand. "Close enough for rock and roll"...

Then I cannibalized the low profile five way super switch from the Esquire slanted switch control panel.. Maybe getting wired tomorrow!

It's ALIVE 😃
Still needs straplocks, knobs and switchtip, but it is playable 'right out of the box'.
["Just add strings"...]
When I get time to take it up to the third floor (studio) I will give it a proper setup and evaluation. (And weigh it on the postal scale)

Acoustically, it is louder than either of the two other solidbodies I have handy down here, with more midrange tonality. Very good sustain as well. It'll be interesting to hear it plugged in!
