the size of 7/8 S Body is  really smaller than a strat ? (if have the number of length and width)

what 22 frets neck for  7/8 S Body ?

(sorry,my english is poor....)

I have one and yes it is smaller.

You can use the 7/8 ths 24 3/4" Warhead neck (24 fret)
or the 24" Mustang/Jaguar neck (22 frets)

thanks for reply

Could I use a 24 3/4" Scale Conversion Necks (22 fret) on 7/8 S Body ?

7/8 S Body is the smallest Warmoth body ?

The 24.75" conversion neck are not compatible with the 7/8 scale bodies.  Only the 7/8 scale necks and 24" Mustang necks will work with the 7/8 body.

No.  You'll need to use either the 24 3/4 x 24 fret (7/8ths) necks or the 24" Mustang/Jag necks.  The 24 3/4" conversion neck will not intonate.

If you are looking for smaller bodies, you might also want to look at the Jaguar, Jagstang, Mustang or Musiclander.

thanks to all....

what is the REAL difference in  length and width on 7/8 S Body ? not scale length.

I'd guess it's 87.5% the size of a regular body (7/8ths).  I could be wrong about that though.

The 24" Mustang Scale will work on them???  :icon_scratch: I had no idea!

You learn something new every most days!

There was another thread on this a few months back.

My recollection was that they are 7/8 of the 3 dimensional volume of a normal strat. And if you looked at the top you'd get a 2 dimensional area of 7/8.66667 or 7/8.33333 for any one dimensional measurement.

I also remember a really helpful post on the size difference but I couldn't think of anything to search on to bring it up.

Now that I think about it I was part of that thread. Let me see if I can find it.

Update: Found it. It's just a mock-up but it should be enough to get an idea: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=19211.msg283136#msg283136

Hopefully it helps. :)

So then the frontal area would be equal to 3√(72/82) or ~0.915, in which case my mock up is a little bit off (2.5%), but it should be fairly close.

EDIT: If you want I could make another one with the smaller one centered.
