Yup, that's what I'd like! It would be cool if the existing Gecko neck could be ordered with a 34" scale, resulting in a 26 fret fingerboard... move the bridge an inch and we're good to go. Or new rout specs, that would be fine too.

I agree.  This is currently what's making me have a problem deciding on ordering a gecko.  Never played a 35, and want a 34 like I'm used to.  Can't decide to pull the trigger or not.

I'ld like to see a short / medium scale Gecko option.
And yes, you can get a good B string on a short / medium scale bass!

Does anyone have any experience playing/hearing what a 35' bass scale does/sounds like compared to the standard 34'?

I thought that having both a 34 inch scale a 4 string option would be great.  Otherwise same laminated neck construction, same special neck joint.  I am right there with you.  But one gripe always was the choice of only gecko inlay or no inlay on fingerboards.  How about a gecko headstock inlay with the choice of any fingerboard inlay.

That's all I play now. The B sounds a LOT better, less floppy. Probably not a big advantage on a 4-string, but it is on a 5.

After going to a 35 for a 5 string, I would never go back to a 34. Honestly, I would now probably opt for a 35 for even a 4 string.
