Couple update photos. Just gotta wire up the EMGs, put the brass big block on the Floyd and string her up.
Sorry it was dark outside and I had to take these indoors. I'll get some better daytime shots outside once it's finished.

I agree, Warmoth did an awesome job. I never thought I could do a guitar that would come out better looking than BURN UNIT, but I think this one might have it beat, and that's tough to say because I really like BURN UNIT a lot.  :toothy11:

Was this finish done at the same time as DbU's or the idea on which it was based?

Damn Afterburner makes that strat look like a MightyMite body. I hope whoever ends up with the strat never sees the soloist.

That photo was the inspiration for the project, only taken to the next level with shading added. The headstock I had in my head for a while.

The headstock shape was the biggest gamble, IMO.
