2nd Warmoth build - flamed maple strat

Well, that the 'quiltiest' Flamed Maple I have seen!

As DbU has stated it looks like a"Tigers Eye" dye finish. Nice finish, aren't they? (I have one)

I was thinking the same thing - that it's quilted, not curly.

And I'm sure you guys are right about the finish being "Tiger's Eye". I also have one.

I'm still skeeved at you for having bought that body just as I was getting ready to pull the trigger, Cagey.  Damn you.

At least I live somewhere with good weather. I'll comfort myself with that when I cry myself to sleep at night.

Hehe! Well, I didn't know anyone had dibs on it. Not that Warmoth lets you reserve anything anyway. That was back when I first started paying attention to the Warmoth site, after building my first one. Saw it, and couldn't believe it. Showed it to my roommate at the time, who said "That's incredible! What the hell is that? I've never seen anything like it! You gotta grab that thing RFN!" But, alas, I had no room on the dreaded credit card. So, he ponied up for it on the condition I make it right in two weeks. Couldn't control myself. So, it's his fault. Kick his ass <grin>

Y'know, speaking of opportunities, I wonder if that might not be a painless revenue stream for Warmoth. Allow people to reserve a body or neck for a non-refundable $50 for 1 month, after which it goes back on the showcase. If they ultimately buy it, apply the $50 to the purchase. If not, the money's gone. What's the worst thing that could happen? They store a body for a month at an outrageous rental fee. Best case is it doesn't sell to whoever reserved it, and they sell it at the original price to the next taker. Been more than once I'd have bought a body/neck given some time to sell something else or otherwise come up with the money.
