Some of it is a little excessive, like 10 minutes spent talking about different nut materials, but it helped me a lot seeing what I was getting into.

Ah! You guys found it. That's my guitar being built. I actually found Jason on this forum when someone posted his Strat refret series.

I could've slapped together the guitar myself, but I did want it to be as close to perfect as possible, and he seemed like just the guy to do it.

Hope you enjoy the vids!  :icon_biggrin:

This guy painfully thorough (good for guitars, good for customers, bad for youtube audiences  :laughing7:). If I ever move to his proximity I know exactly who to call  :icon_thumright:

Considering he starts it off saying he could build a Warmoth a day, no sweat, but goes through at least four t-shirts over the course of the videos, I'd say he took you seriously on the whole, "as close to perfect as possible," thing.

Holy comas, Batman!

I watched them all and it surely reinforced my idea to outsource neckwork beyond putting on tuning machines and bolting it to the body.
I'll adjust my truss rod too, but unless I get angry at a bad fret, it won't see a professional.

That was great! I was wishing he did part 17 for the crowning, but I watched his strat re-fret video for that info. Yep, definitely leave all that fret work to the pro's.

He'll get to it!  :icon_thumright:  He only has two days a week to work on it so it's taking awhile, especially at that level of detail.

He's going to document the entire build-- should end up being 20 or so videos total, I'm guessing. Meanwhile I'm over here GASsing to get my mitts on it!  :laughing7:
