I like it a lot better.  MY edges are a little harder than the warmoth warhead.  I still have some smoothing to do but I am happy with the outcome.  Should look great once it is finished.  Color goes on this week if the weather permits.

Looks pretty good.

If it was me, I'd measure the distance between tuners and make that the distance from the low E to the peak of the headstock. The dimensional consistency will keep people from thinking something is "off". Also, the smoothing. Gotta happen. Looks like something Fred Flintstone might make at this point <grin>

Good job, though. I suspect I'd have wrecked it on a bandsaw. So, yabba-dabba-yabba-dabba-yabba-doo-now! Don't know what it means, but I say it anyhow!

Cagey not sure what you mean with measuring the E string.  I did not a lot of smoothing after those photos were taken.  Very smooth now.  Believe it or not I was using an Emory board to help with the shape.  Works great.

First coat of amber on.  I need to mask the binding and then the orange and black for the burst.  The lighting make it look more gold than it really is.

Believe me, I thought about it.  It just looked a little plain.  Also I already have a 100% amber top on another guitar.  (See sig)

Plus I really wanted to try black with a burst.  I just took off the masking for the natural binding...sexy for sure!

back.  I love the wood control cover....blends right in.

Binding.  Nitro is still wet.  I ran a slim line because of the curve I put on the top.

cannot forget about the neck...not bad for $160.  Yes...the skunk stripe is Ebony.  Remember is started life as a strat.  My son hates it.  I personally do not like just plain maple necks.  I always like a little amber.  I tried to match the body with this one,
