I think in my PRS I put a '59 and a Custom Custom (Possibly a Custom 5) and it worked pretty well for me.  The Custom Custom looks like it's got plenty of highs and mids, if their little tone charts are anything to go by.

It's pure, distilled genius in its simplicity.  An angled support jig that has the router guide cut into the bottom.  Makes me wonder how frequently they have to remake that jig (seems like the tummy cut would get deeper over time - of course they're probably more skilled with it than I would be).

Here's kind of a quick and dirty simplified way to combine the two mods together.  Note that the colors don't refer to anything, it's just to make a visual distinction rather than having black lines all over the place.  The wires coming from the humbuckers will be the "hot wires" - the ground...

For completeness' sake, are you using 4-wire or 2-wire humbuckers?  Also, standard Strat 5-way, superswitch, or import-style?  It doesn't change the way the stuff gets put together, I just want to whip up a diagram you can follow exactly.

One thing to note with the Lil Killers is that, AFAIK, they only come with the Kwik-Plug setup now.  You still get 4 wires but they aren't the usual 4 wires for some reason.  You can do coil splits in (the "center tap" of the coils is permanently tied together) but there's no way I can see to do...

I'm back y'all*! So now that the weather is cooling off here in Ohio and all the outdoor projects are wrapped up, I finally have time to get back on the Bass VI bandwagon.  One of the reasons the project stalled is that the cavity for the switches is just a bit too big for the switches...

I'm glad someone is getting a guitar out of my build thread, since I haven't had a chance to get back on that project in awhile.  :laughing7:  Be curious to see who gets done first.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't realize "half and half" as a cream/milk product was US-specific.  I don't generally put sugar in my coffee unless I've gotten too ambitious with the darkness of the blend.  I like my coffee bold, but not excessively bitter.  Notes of "sweeter" things like chocolate or...

Dunno if you're still checking this for input, but I like a good dark roast coffee, usually black or with just a bit of half-and-half.  I have a Keurig at home that I use refillable pods in with grocery-store bagged coffee.  The coffee I get out of it isn't bad, per se, but it's terribly weak. ...

Buddy of mine has a Squier Strat, one of his first guitars.  He's swapped just about everything on it at this point and has used it as a mule for some mods he wasn't sure he would use.  The guitar plays pretty well and, while it may never be quite as nice as a Fender American model, it's a solid...

I think I checked mine twice a day at least for 3 weeks until it arrived on my doorstep, and they tell me I'm mentally sound. So, at least two.  Can't promise more than that, though.

Sorry, I keep saying "bridge" when I mean "tailpiece". I'm going to ground the tailpiece.  In fact, the ground wire route goes to the cavity for the tailpiece/trem bar, and not the bridge proper.  As long as something that touches the strings is grounded, it should be fine.  But yes, the bridge...
