    Purple Tribute take 2

I was one of the lucky folks to get one of the purple tribute bodies… I loved that guitar - but unfortunately when I got divorced it was part of the half of the guitars that didn’t come with me. Mostly I made peace with that but the prince tribute was kinda special and frankly I missed it. So...

Which DAW do you use and why?

Im currently using ableton. I’ve used logic, luna and cubase a bunch. I started using ableton last summer because I hadn’t really used it and it’s different, and I wanted to play around with some of the advanced looping features. It’s definitely easier to mix and match sounds - and layer them...

Hey - how do you do a plugin?

Hey - how do you do a plugin?

This can be hard… there are significant performance challenges with getting accurate models of hardware. Valhalla has a few blog posts on the topic primarily for reverb but they do cover dev environments in the first one.

Well into building a klon clone

My mini pedal board has a ryra klone and an open window, they stack together great and I'm sure you're gonna love them both. I keep the open window just on the edge of breakup and the klone with a bit more drive.

Working on New Killer Star's Silverface Princeton

I just wanted to say I got the amp a couple days before xmas, it’s really really good.  He did excellent work. It’s been really cold the last week in the Seattle area (or at least cold for us) so I haven’t replaced the baffle for the grill yet, but I will soon and I’ll share when it’s done

Working on New Killer Star's Silverface Princeton

Have I said thank you yet? Somewhere around 2006, I picked up this amp and an Eric Clapton strat for $550.  The guy I bought it from had just had some tile work done and they did some sort of acid wash and it messed with the active pickups in the strat - which I was able to fix. The amp was...

I'd love to get some ideas from the crowd on how to build out this body...

I second the babicz bridges, they have a great sound.

    Red mooncaster

Since it’s now a WIP, I’m making a thread here for my mooncaster build. I put on a few coats of dye and it’s about ready now to take some clear… .

Flamed Koa neck with turtle inlay

I don’t know if it was the nicest one, they were all awesome but it’s very nice and I’m very happy with it

    Mooncaster

Here’s the back - I think it’s a nice piece of maple… but unfortunately no tummy cut or contoured heel with the double binding - which I think is why you have to ask for it, my double bound mustang was the same way. This won’t be a fast build I’m not in a rush and I want this one to look nice ...
