Hey, yeah, that's where I got the schematic! Thanks everybody.

    Amp forums?

Story first: Craigslist. Today. I go on at 2:30 because I'm bored. Second post from top (Denver is super active) is a Mesa Boogie Studio .22 amp for $149. Has scratchy pots. Guy wants a phone number in the email replies to his ad. I email right away. Number and all. Ten minutes ago, I checked...

    powerful 1x12 tube combo

If you want tone  (and by tone, I mean anything resembling a clean guitar sound, and something that doesn't sound like a planet of glass shattering above you), stay FAR away from the Pignose 40w. I had that thing for 2 miserable years. Or, buy it and then replace everything in it  :laughing8: I...

    Flame Koa

But now that you mention it, a black pickguard would be interesting... It's a shame I can't grab this... just have to wait for a prettier one to come along  :icon_biggrin:

    Flame Koa

Wish I had the money. I'm having an unusual amount of difficulty imagining hardware and stuff, but I was thinking parchment pickguard, black knobs/pickup covers, nickel hardware, and a flame maple (to go with the koa) neck with maccassar ebony or even ziricote for the fingerboard. Something...

    Flame Koa

Wow. I've never really been a fan of fancy, highly figured wood. All the Warmoth guitars I've designed (I have yet to actually buy one) have been super super simple guitars, with only the most necessary, base level parts. For example, all the guitars I design have ebony fret boards because I...

what is the best cheap pedal youve ever had?

$30 on the Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive. Best money I've ever spent. I've tried hundreds of overdrives... the Cool Cat blows 'em all out of the water, especially considering the price.

    Kill switch?

Ah, should've said this earlier. I'm playing a Les Paul style guitar with the Master Volume, Master Tone layout. The three way switch is a no go.

    Kill switch?

But yes. That is what I'm looking for. But I coulda sworn there was some kind of way to wire a piece of metal so that when you touch it it grounds your guitar signal... err something... I don't know...

    Kill switch?

Yeah, $32 is kind of ridiculous. Thanks for the pointer though. Here, fastforward (if you don't like the band, if you don't know the song, check it out) to 2:53 and check out what the lead guitar player is doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_mMzOQpe0I

    Kill switch?

Is there some kind of.... metal bar (2 inches) that could be wired in a way so when it comes in contact with your finger, it kills the sound? Maybe an in/out of circuit switch too? I do a lot of crazy experimental music, and I've always wanted some kind of kill switch...

So cool, I didn't know there was such a thing

I figured, but if you have the disposable cash...  :icon_biggrin:

So cool, I didn't know there was such a thing

Seems like it'd produce a pretty sweet tone with the right bridge... Any thoughts? http://www.allparts.com/Titanium-Saddles-p/bp-0305-009.htm

    Pentode/Triode switch

I'm not looking for the amp to be quieter per se, just to break up earlier would be nice. I don't want to spend money on an attenuator because I could sell my amp and buy a kit with the money I wouldn't spend on an attenuator and from the amp sale!

    Pentode/Triode switch

Since I don't know anything about this stuff, please forgive my ignorance. What I was thinking of was a switch to half the power (or even a three way for full, half, and a quarter power) so I can get earlier break up. I'm playing through a 50 watt amp that really needs to be cranked to get...
