I've had this neck for about two years now. It's never had any fret work done to it, so the action is on the high side. It's got SS 6105 frets on it, standard thin contour, 1 5/8 and it needs a new nut. Other than that, it's fine. No scratches or any major dings to it and the neck is straight...
It's the only strat I've ever had, but judging from the bodies Warmoth has in stock now, korina and alder seem about the same, swamp ash probably a little lighter than that. It doesnt feel too hefty to me, though.
Thanks! The body isn't chambered, just plain old solid. The neck is wenge with and ebony fretboard, graphite nut, 6105 ss frets, 1 5/8" nut width, and standard thin back contour.
This was my first Warmoth build, a korina strat I completed a while back. Wenge neck with ebony fretboard. Manlius Guitar 50's strat pickups.

What about putting a sustainer under the pick guard? Does it need to be that close to the strings to work? I'd like a neck and bridge pickup and a sustainer, but i hate the way 3 pup guitars look.
A local guy put together my amp, worst comes to worst I just ask him to take care of it. The amp has worked before :laughing11: I've been using it for over a year now and its sounded fine until this very afternoon.
I've got a Matchless Spitfire clone. I'm playing it today and there is a crackling noise every once in a blue moon. Later on, I come back to play and the amp isn't sounding very loud and its pretty crackly and hideous sounding (think dying cat) if i really lay into the strings. I've got the...
Im going to be building a two speaker cab this summer. Has anyone ever heard of combining a 10" and 15"? It seems like it would sound great. Any thoughts?
I'd like to plug in headphones or maybe record some things using the line out on my tube amp. Its a 1/4 inch jack. When using it, do i unplug the cab from my amp since im using the line out, or do i keep the cab plugged into the amp still?
So I've got a wilkinson trem on my strat. I just set it up so that it was flush to the body instead of floating. Do I screw the studs in all the way so that the baseplate is completely flush to the body and then use the saddles to adjust for the proper string height OR do I keep the baseplate...
