    SOLD

Yes, I would prefer to avoid shipping internationally. Between CITES headaches, and the potential for other issues, it is just easier for everyone involved to stick to CONUS shipping. Thanks to both of you for your interest, however. Someone in the US must have a fetish for Rosewood and...

    SOLD

Hello, Gentleman! I used to be a regular on this forum, but I quit playing guitar and bass, a couple of years ago, and sold most of my gear. I have held onto my gorgeous Warmoth Strat, but I feel that it’s time to do some Spring cleaning, and part it out. As such, I am offering up a Warmoth...

    WTH Forum weirdness

I'm talking about those tiny, eco-friendly cars that look like something you would fly to the moon in.  https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bN1ETWyu4dc/Vw2r_D_xX0I/AAAAAAAAEHU/YDWuauinbSkL12JQSRwp2xARZcSCvUBrgCLcB/s1600/2017%2BBMW%2Bi3%2BReview%2BSpecs%2Band%2BPrice-1.jpg

    WTH Forum weirdness

Older cars, in general, are becoming a rarity. The vast majority of cars that I see on the road are not more than 20 years old. On that note, I predict that in 20 years, almost everyone will be driving cars that look like tree-hugger spaceships. That seems to be the trend with new car designs.

wiring help, my pots are backwards

You followed a bad diagram, and wired backwards. Just switch the connections around. Be sure that you have the right taper pots, btw.

How exact does bridge placement have to be..

You asked a question, but you didn't specify whether or not there was a problem. Does the guitar not intonate properly?

    6000 posts!

Congrats! Of 11k+ members, only 7 of us have the distinction of having 6000+ posts. Which is a fancy way of saying that most people don't spend much time talking about guitars on the internet.  :blob7:

Your experiences with canary neck? Could it be lifeless?

Having a problem with one neck is not by any means a valid excuse to blame the wood species. Remember that every piece of wood is different. No two necks are the same, even if they are made of the same wood, or even if they are made from wood that came from the same tree.

    Turquoise Dinky Jazz

Fantastic neck and body pairing! They complement each other very nicely, and the inlays really tie it together.

Deluxe 5 J-Bass? Help me identify this

The extra batteries are quite odd. My guess is that either someone didn't know what they were doing, and thought that you had to have separate batteries for each pickup, or that someone was really anal about battery life, and figured that there would be fewer battery changes if you had four...

    Frankenstein guitar project stalled!!!

A relevant note on the use of TRS jacks: For an active guitar, the signal goes out on the tip terminal, and the sleeve terminal is the ground, as usual, but the ring terminal is used to connect the negative from the battery to ground, when a standard "mono" guitar cable is inserted. If we want...

    Frankenstein guitar project stalled!!!

The typical issue with mixing piezo and magnetic pickups is the fact that the output impedances do not match, and hence, buffering of the magnetic pickups is required. Since you have active pickups, however, the buffering may not be necessary. Before you can make any decisions about wiring, you...

    Bass/Treble "roll off"

That pot is wired as a standard passive tone control. For a bass cut, you will need a 1M pot (typically audio taper) and a 0.001uF capacitor. (Or adjust to taste.)
