It was gummy to begin with. Hadn't cured in close to 3 months.

I'll have to try laquer thinner. I've been trying to sand but its too gummy. It's like trying to sand the sticky side of duct tape.

I've finished and refinished a number of guitars using the same products, Reranch nitro and acrylic laquer clear coat. Never had a problem with the process. I painted a MIM Strat this way in May and it has never got beyond a sticky mess. I need someone to please recommend a product to strip this...

I've been a maple/maple, maple/rosewood neck guy my entire life but I'm in the middle of a new build and am becoming more open to trying a raw neck with a compoung radius. The new build will be a alder hardtail strat. I don't have unlimited funds so I'm going to have to live with whatever I buy...

I sold a MIM strat a couple of years ago on ebay to "Stratosphere". Within a week it was parted out and sold. Darn shame, it was a really nice playing guitar.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with D.Allen Strat pickups ? I've got a new hardtail Strat build in the works and was looking for some pickups and came across the D.Allen site and his '69 voodoo set has me intrigued. I've budgeted about $150 give or take for pickups and was wondering...

A heads up for you. Brian Nalls no longer makes or sells parts for the Garcia inspired guitars so if you are looking for that triple humbucker mounting ring you'll have to have it made yourself.

It's enamel spray paint for the base coats and plain old Testor's model paints for the rest.
