I've finished and refinished a number of guitars using the same products, Reranch nitro and acrylic laquer clear coat. Never had a problem with the process. I painted a MIM Strat this way in May and it has never got beyond a sticky mess. I need someone to please recommend a product to strip this goo as sanding is not an option. Thanks in advance.

sandpaper usually make quick work.  Lacquer thinner always works well too.

I'll have to try laquer thinner. I've been trying to sand but its too gummy. It's like trying to sand the sticky side of duct tape.

Are you generating too much heat?  I have never had a finish gum up when sanding.

It was gummy to begin with. Hadn't cured in close to 3 months.

I see. I had a similar issue with deft. Use lacquer thinner and a PLASTIC scraper if needed

The quick & crude way would be to apply Jasco & put on some kitchen gloves in a well ventilated area, and use a scraper, then prepare to do a bunch of sanding.
