    Serial Number

I have a very similar question, so I hope it's not bad to review this subject. What does the number on my heel joint mean?

Thanks a lot, Doug! You have another happy customer.

    Custom neckplate

I'm going to guess that it is the maze from the Shining. And glad I finally got that damn payment figured out! I'm too old to be figuring out this internetz stuff!

    Custom neckplate

I'd love to get into more specifics, like how much and do you ship to Japan, but the link to your facebook page isn't working.

    Custom neckplate

I wouldn't be doing it, so that's no problem. My warmoth is over 25 years old, and my eyes aren't what they used to be. I was just worried that maybe the screws wouldn't be the same as the bolts so there might be a problem with spacing on the neck plate.

    Custom neckplate

The only thing I never really, kinda sorta, meh dislike about my warmoth is the generic neckplate and the standard screws. What I would pay good money for is a gold neckplate with the warmoth turtle and insert neck bolts? You know, like Yngwie puts on his guitars. Is this a possibility, or is...

New Warmoth Video: Does fat neck = fat tone?

There's definitely a difference in favor of the fatback. What I really wonder though is how it felt while playing. Most of the things guitarists fret over are things that even other guitarists won't notice, but they change the way we play because it just sounds better to the player. Like...

    Sanding down a fatback

But yeah okay,, I guess I'll just deal with a fatback. It really isn't that bad now. Just I was thinking of improving it because my fingers arent getting any stronger thanks to age. A fatback once you get used to it is a really good neck profile, but I wouldnt advise it for geriatric players...

    Sanding down a fatback

The problem with selling the neck and getting something better is no longer in the cards, as they no longer make better necks. What is available now thanks to CITES and unavailable stock isn't even close to comparable.

    Sanding down a fatback

Many many years ago, I bought a fatback neck thinking that I could  reshape the neck  profile using nothing but sandpaper and eventually getting to  where I want it to be. I got the neck, and was initially pretty iffy about how it felt, but I got used to it, and never did do  anything about...

    Favorite Options for HH Guitars?

I put a set of harmoniic design z90 pickups in my HH warmoth. For electronics, it's just a VVT with a three way. I find it is a really good alternative between my single coil and HSS strat. The harmonic designs aren't going to get you that real hard rock sound of a bridge humbucker, nor that...

Repairing A Stripped Straplock Screw Hole ???

I just push a toothpick in the hole, break it off, then screw the screw in. No glue because I don't see the need. The friction created from the added meat from the toothpick is more than enough to keep everything nice and tight. I think the glue idea could be better, but I'm worried because...

Meanwhile, at Warmoth...the Gotoh 510 tremolo is now available!

My wilkinson vs-100 does have that patented wilky wobble going on. I'm not really sure what's going on with that, but does this gotoh with its nylon actually get rid of that? That said, I'm not really seeing the extra 50 bucks difference. What wilkinson-gotoh really need to do is get rid of...

What was Palisander back in the 90s?

Thanks Double A! And please thank Mr. Warmoth for me because for well over 20 years, and my original idea of finding a GAS killer has worked wonders. I have walked past countless guitars and turned my nose up at almost (I am human after all) all of them.  I recently had my "Rosie" go into the...

What was Palisander back in the 90s?

Yeah, that's about what I get out of it, too. I do know that before Warmoth shifted to Indian rosewood, they were marketing standard rosewood as Palisander. If a pic helps, the fingerboard is brazilian, and the spine is "palisander"...
