Hot summer day: Bell's Oberon
Warm fall day: Bell's Two Hearted Ale
Cool fall night: Black Cannon - Black IPA from Heavy Seas
Cold winter night: Saranac Stout
Best weird beers: Purpla Haze from Abita Springs, Magic Hat #9

In the essence of time I will keep it to mass produced beers...there are not enough MB on the site to list all the microbrews.

1.  Guiness
2.  New Castle Brown Ale
3.  Negra Modello
4.  Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout
5.  Fosters Lager

Hellz yeah, Purple Haze is so underrated, but it's so good.

1. The one in my hand
2. The next one
3. The one after that
4. The next one after that
5. The one before I move to scotch

Seriously though, I'm not all that picky about beer.  I'll drink damn near anything.  I've been really digging trippels lately though.

Purple Haze is really pushing Oberon to be my summer beer of choice. Oberon is harder for me to get since only available in Virginia (well, anywhere that's close to me now that I live in Maryland - it's obviously super-abundant in Michigan because it's brewed in Kalamazoo). Abita Springs stuff is available about 1/2 mile from my house. Makes it too easy to get and too good to skip.

The bad thing is I didn't even know that Purple Haze existed until I went south on vacation, and tried it at a bar in Williamsburg Virginia because it was one of the featured samples.  Around Michigan there is only one place that I know where to get it and that is a party store in Jackson (35min) away.  It is a really good summer beer. :icon_thumright:  Oberon is everywhere around here, very easy to come by in Michigan.  We could do a beer co-op :laughing3:

Really good christmas brew I had a few bottles of:

img0400y.jpg

is that from the island of the same name?? I know a girl who lives there :)

It certainly is! 'tis the island (and town) of my birth. So of course the beer is excellent :icon_biggrin:
Funny you should know a Gotland girl, is she indigenous or a mainlander?

I think her parents are Danish, but I think she was born on the island.. or the other way around.. cant remember.
last name is Abrahamsen..

I'm reviving this thread. There is not enough talk about good beer on this good forum!

Some excellent beers I've had this evening and yesterday:
- Fuller's Indian Pale Ale
- Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer
- Primátor Premium Dark Lager

All very tasty. I was not so convinced by the Seven Giraffes Ale (no joke - that's its name), but the little lady took a shine to it.
