After hearing about the pickups from guitar fetish, I was cruising their websites and saw that they had some darn fine looking guitars on their website for dirt cheap...does anybody know anything about the quality of xaviere guitars from guitar fetish? I'm interested in getting a backup..... or three.....

I dunno, if they're cheap than it's either made cheap or it's one of those one off Good companies. Though a double F-hole LP is super awesome.

Edit: looking again, those LP's are awesome, but it's got GFS stuff in it. I've not heard good stuff about GFS parts.

If the build quality is there the woods seem to be good. The price is right....even less then I paid for a set of humbuckers!!!!  It is almost worth it to check it out wouldn't take much money to change out all the electronics even if it needed it.

I'm with Jack on this one.  I can't see the build quality or wood quality being there for that low of a price.

After upgrading everything (probably tuners and bridge too) you probably could have had something better.  I've hot-rodded a few low end Epi's and Squires, but sold/traded em all.  Cheap guitars don't work out well for me.  Its flaws become too obvious and it almost never gets played since I have better guitars at hand.  They did however make for good refret fodder.  :dontknow:
