Hello all,

My warmoth neck has finally arrived and I'm ready to begin finishing the neck. I've scoured Wudtones website and can't find specific instructions on their neck products so here I am asking the resident experts.

Here is the product I'm using.
http://www.wudtone.com/product/finishing-kit-for-neck-colourless/

The guitar neck is maple (unfinished) with an ebony fretboard.

My question is, the "base coat" for the neck, how long do I let that dry and how many coats does it receive?

The "top coat", I'm familiar with because I believe it is similar to the body "top coat" I've already used.

Thank you in advance and hopefully pictures coming in the next couple of weeks.

This might be of help

Thank you so much, stratamania! Exactly what I'm looking for!

Next question,

Does the ebony fretboard require a sealant? I'm under the assumption that it does not.

THank you in advance!

Man you are in luck ... check out this build thread.  Remember to take lots of pictures on yours.

Ebony wood gets nothing, play it raw.  Once a year I apply mineral oil;Usually at Christmas time when I give all my guitars new strings ...

You don't need to do anything with the ebony.

I have a lot of ebony boards and they do not need mineral oil applying as a matter of course either I would say.

Thank you for all the help! I'm letting the first coats cure and I'll be applying the "top coat" early next week. The body will be cured this Sunday and I'll begin assembly there.

Pretty excited.
