Wrong Pots????

Has anyone recently recieved 250K potentiometers that were actually 500K? I checked the values using a very good meter and some are 500 and some 250 even though the cat numbers on the back are the same. The cat # in question is "450S1430 0714". I did a search and cannot find this number online, or at least what the value should be.

I know it's not Warmoths mistake, how could they know that the values were different.

(714) means the guy at the factory was wasted on 'Ludes that day.

Tolerances are pretty bad on most pots.  I usually soak weak pots in rubbing alcohol.  If you clean them their values will often increase.

I know tolerences can be off by as much as + 20% , but these are definatley 500k in 250k clothing. It would have to be a lot of alcohol to make me see them differently.  :tard: :laughing7:
