I read so much that just isn't true or recommendations that can't be done. Thats why I'm posting this as a final reference.

The following woods are suitable for titled headstock-styles.

(requiring a finish)
Maple
Mahogany
koa
korina
walnut

(no finish required)
rosewood
wenge
padouk
purpleheart
canary
bubinga
(imbuia)

Unavailable for a titled headstock-style
Pau Ferro
goncalo Alves
bloodwood
cocobolo
bocote
ebony
ziricote

These are the most common types of woods used. I hope that people read this, and learn it, cause recommending a pau ferro neck for a guitar that uses a 3x3 headstock (or when the owner-to-be wants a 3x3 headstock) is a bit uhm.... useless (because I can't imagine anyone wanting to saw up their precious warmoth-neck).

Thanks for posting that.

May I ask what the issue regarding tilted headstocks is and why some woods are not available?

the natural oils/whatnot of the wood so not play nice with glue.

Orpheo, sorry if my post tin the other thread was not clear. I wasn't disputing that Pau is un-angleable. I was suggesting (separate of my pau-ferro suggestion) that Warmoth would likely be able to angle a Warhead shaped headstock (assuming of course an angle able wood i.e. NOT pau ferro was used).
