Which pre-wire set-up fits the Mooncaster

Hi Everyone,

I'm building my first Mooncaster and purchased Mojotone's Les Paul pre-wired harness. However, the pot shafts don't line up with the holes on the Mooncaster. Does anyone have any idea which pre-wired kit fits the hole layout?

First, welcome to the forum!

Second, how old is this body? Did you buy it out of the Showcase? What do you mean, "the pot shafts don't line up?" Reason I ask is I'm pretty sure Warmoth changed the way they relieve the control cavity at some point, due to difficulty installing pots. Also, if the pickup selector switch is in one of the horns, it can be a real challenge to install.

If you mean the diamond shape harness doesn't exactly line up with where The Big W puts their holes I'm not surprised. They seem to do all their layouts on the no-picking guard guitars pretty unique-alicious for #better or #worse and it seems counterly productive when prewired harnesses are becoming such big deal. I never fear wiiring stuff myself. It's like when i'm at restaurants - I never use a napkin on my lap... cause I believe in myself.

Not sure if it’s the same on the moon caster but on the VIP I needed long shaft pots.

Mooncaster definitely needs long shaft pot too...
