Which ferrules for hardtail narrow-spaced strat?

Hello everyone.
The thread title says it. I'm frustrated which ferrules should I order for narrow-spaced hardtail routing.
I suspect that "but the string through holes are drilled larger" sentence only assumes holes on the top of the body, while rear string-through holes, though which strings are inserted, remain the same. Kinda like a cone-shaped holes. In which case it must be same ferrules as for vintage flat mount. But not sure.
Also, ( maybe this question is particularly stupid, but I only used a guitar with tom-style bridge before) - do I even need top ferrules for narrow-spaced hardtail routing? And if so, which ones?

Thanks!

No need to be frustrated, just look at the diagram.  For the narrow spaced hardtail routing, just plain old regular back ferrules are what you need.

As to your second question what bridge are you buying?  Once you know that then you'll know if you'll need the top ferrules.  If you're getting the Strat Flat mount bridge, humbucker spacing --- the holes and support are in the plate.  No need for top ferrules.

I checked the diagrams and they don't give me an answer  :icon_scratch:.
Ferrule is a thingy which is inserted into the string through hole on the back of the body.
Routing page says, that for Narrow Spaced Strat "the mounting holes are identical to the vintage flat mount bridge, but the string through holes are drilled larger."
That's what I don't get. String through holes are larger (4.78mm vs 3.18mm), but ferrule is the same? That's what I mentioned, that maybe string through holes are only larger on the top of the body, but holes on the back are the same (cone-shaped holes) ?

The string hole diameters are larger on the top of the body to accommodate the wider string spacing of the vintage bridge.  I should think that is easier to program than a completely different spacing for all six holes, but I'm no CNC whiz.

Perzactly

And it clears it! Thanks!
Btw, about top ferrules: I'm planning to go with this bridge in 0.125. From the look of it, seems it goes flush on the body, bridge holes right over the string holes, so there won't be a need for top ferrules. Won't be a space for it anyway. Am I correct?

You might want to read the section on the official website dealing with off menu bridge routes and calling both warmoth and Hipshot to see what they advise.

Good, advise.

Top ferrules are not needed for Strat and Tele type hardtail bridges. They are only used with TOM type bridges where instead of a tailpiece there are string through holes that appear at the top of the body behind the bridge.

Holes through the body are of a different diameter than the part that the ferrules go in regardless of width of the bridge. Think of it as a stepped hole.

Another piece of advise would be to use a bridge with a bridge rout that is known to work together. Once you get off the beaten track a little you may be OK but not always.
