Anyone know of a good place to mail order dimazio pickups? Can't seem to find what I want here in the UK.
Twin gold bobbin (not gold covers) Norton & Air nortons.

I know they mane them as it;s on their website, but most retailers only list black or zebra etc.

Also, with a 11/16 nut and Gotoh 510 wrap around... do I need F spacing or not?

Ta.

I'll wait for some Euro members to chip in, but on the F-spacing:

If the string spacing from e to e is closer to 53 mm, then don't get F spacing. If it's closer to 57 mm, then get the F spacing.

Thanks - so at 2" 1/16 or 53 mm, I'll stick to standard spacing then.

I'm more than happy to mail order pick ups from your side of the pond.

DiMarzio does not allow US dealers to send outside USA. The only dealer who does this is Bruce www.aamps.us Send him an email and he can probably order what you want if he doesn't have it in stock. He's a nice guy, I have ordered twice from him and I recommend him. Ask for USPS shipping.

There's a guy on ebay that stocks a TON of dimarzio and sd pickups. His name is banjomikez. If its true that dimarzio retailers in the us can't ship internationally then he might not be able to help, but I'm positive he either has those in stock (with gold bobbins) or can easily get them.

Edit: Forgot to mention I've bought from him a couple times and he's really quick on responses and very helpful. That's why I recommend him. Even have his phone number saved in my cell phone haha

Irongear isn't really "buying local", given they're made in Korea IIRC.

"Buying local" would be to go to www.at-the-creamery.co.uk and get yourself some custom, scatterwound pickups, made in the UK, for the same price (if not less) than the DiMarzios would cost to special order. In fact considering his quality and prices, I don't know why anyone in the UK would buy anything else.

That said, Projectmusic.net stock most DiMarzios in the standard colours and will special order any DM pickup in any of the custom colours for a small upcharge (and a fairly long wait, as apparently DM only make the weird colour combinations to order; my purple Evo 2 and PAF Pro took about two and a half months to arrive). They are somewhat more friendly and very vaguely cheaper than any other DM dealer in the UK. So if you're hell bent on using DM pickups, go there.

Thanks.

I wouldn't know where to start in ordering custom wound pickups?

How do you know what to ask for?

If you're not sure what you want, just email Jaime (or whoever your pickup maker of choice is; I know a lot of people on here are die-hard Bare Knuckle fans) and say you don't know what to order, but give him a description of the kind of sound you want. Any pickup maker worth their salt will be able to advise you on which of their products will suit you (or even suggest a custom wind especially for you).

I've personally ordered a bunch of pickups from Sigler Music, they special-ordered some 7-string DiMarzios for me once, too. I don't know what they do regarding overseas, but it wouldn't hurt to send an e-mail. Here's their Ebay store:

And their home:

I try to stay away from Guitar Center and buy from actual people and these guys are great to deal with and competitive in price, and they can order anything Di-Marzio-related. There are a bunch of crazy people who like 'em with pink or purple or lime green coils, and Siglers the place for it.
