RUSH La Villa Strangiato

First, there's the song that's written in my will that has to be played at my funeral:

Plus, probably the most popular Rory song:

And then there's the band that I used to get my nieces off of their Justin Bieber and Hannah Montana kick (as well as one of the best bands of the decade, at least in my opinion):

These are some of my favorite performances:

That's not an old Motown melody. It's a Harrison original, although he was sued for allegedly infringing copyright on The Chiffon's tune "He's So Fine", which was done with Capitol Records, not Motown. The Chiffons were a black all-girl group so it's understandable you might think they'd be a Motown thing, as a lot of similar groups got their start there during that time frame, but they were actually from the Bronx in New York.

Thanks, buddy! Cagey's my personal fact-checker. Check! :icon_thumright:

Alright, I know this one for sure: Al Gore invented the Internet. That one I'm sure of. :icon_biggrin:

Reinhold, you just made my day!  This song/band/record is SOOOO good.  I got serious chills the first time i made the connection that that song is about Anne Frank.

It's been at least a year since i dusted off Aeroplane Over the Sea...guess what i'm doing tonight when i get home!

No. This debunks it pretty thoroughly, and even these guys are being pretty generous.

Claim:  Vice-President Al Gore claimed that he "invented" the Internet.

Status:  False.

Origins:  Despite the derisive references that continue even today, Al Gore did not claim he "invented" the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way. The "Al Gore said he 'invented' the Internet" put-downs were misleading, out-of-context distortions of something he said during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "Late Edition" program on 9 March 1999. When asked to describe what distinguished him from his challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination, Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey, Gore replied (in part):

Ok, fair enough, but you're not gonna tell me Henry Ford didn't invent the automobile, when I've heard this from so many reputable mechanics.

No, many, many automobiles existed before Mr. Ford came along. His only real claim to fame was in simply adapting the assembly line manufacturing process to suit automobiles, which so reduced the cost of manufacturing them that the common man could afford one. I'll leave it to you to dig up the details.

The original plant still exists in Highland Park (a close suburb of Detroit) as a historical building.

I wouldn't recommend visiting it, though. Not much to see, and it's a pretty dangerous area. You'd be safer in Beirut.

These are the first three that came to mind for me:

There's some super tasty jazzmaster playing starting in 3:25 of the 3rd video.
