What's on your iPod?

i would LOVE to have an ipod.  They're the most robust mp3 player out there right now as far as i can tell.
I want an ipod classic because i can have 120gb of space on it.  I'd love to have an ipod touch but its more expensive for like.. 16 gigs or something.

I got this Sony one for christmas though and it works great so im satiated for now.

I spend too much money on guitars so no iPod for me and my cell phone is soooo old with no radio or MP3 compatibility... :toothy11:  Seriously, I hurt my ears so much in my teens standing in the front row of every live I went so I avoid to use headphones anymore. I have about 600 MP3 songs in my PC but I prefer my CD's over them and I prefer my vinyl over the CD's. I also listen to a lot of net radio, preferably stations with no commercials and talking, just music.

i have too much for one post, i almost fill up my 120 gig ipod. well not almost im at like 65 gigs.

And of course everything I record.  :icon_thumright:

I have a 30g Creative Zen W.  It is full, and my computer has probably 60g of just music on it.  I also have like 400 cds, 100 or so on vinyl.  And then there's my Rhapsody subscription.  So yeah, waaay too much to list, but here is some of what I have:

Complete works of Led Zeppelin (my favorite classic rock band), Andrew Bird (I love him. A lot.), Muse, Sufjan Stevens, Belle & Sebastian, The Decemberists, The Beatles, Elliott Smith, The White Stripes, Regina Spektor, and Spoon.
Also got scattered albums of AC/DC, CCR, Cat Stevens, AFI, The Killers, Death Cab For Cutie, a crapload of Hendrix and David Bowie, Modest Mouse, Fleet Foxes, Frightened Rabbit, Django Reinhardt & Steppane Grappelli, Dosh, The Magic Numbers, Arlo Guthrie, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Ween, Islands, Keane, New Pornographers, The Dears, The National, The Zombies, Beirut, The Who, Yes, Rufus Wainwright, The Stills, Elbow, Simon & Garfunkel, Jack Johnson, Cream, Yann Tiersen, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, She & Him, Feist, Spike Jones, Duke Ellington, Hans Zimmer, Queen, Murder By Death, Snow Patrol, The Chieftains, James Newton Howard, The Arcade Fire... and a lot more.

If it has a rock, folk, jazz, or classical element, I'll listen to it.  I think that's why I love Andrew Bird so much, he combines it all, and then some.

This is just the music that I have on my iPod. And that's only half of what I got on my computer.

I can't post a dump of my list as there is a 20K limitation of text in a post and a directory dump is 106K; I have 1348 MP3 files....

I use my blackberry's MP3 player.  The screen broke on my 8 Gig Sansa, and my 1/2 gig MP3 player eats batteries (not rechargeable!!).  That said....  Here's what I got.

7 Mysteries, July 28th, Live in my living room.  Yeah...  Its my band.  A live party gig that was supposed to happen on our deck, but the thunderstorm had other plans.
Zerababyl, Enantiodromia.  Yeah... again... my instrumental one-man-band project...
The Godbullies, War on Everybody
Jesu, Jesu (Ex GODFLESH, Justin Broadrick)
Les Paul and Mary Ford, Greatest Hits
Thin Lizzy, The Essential Thin Lizzy
The Polyphonic Spree, The Begining of The Polyphonic Spree
Iron Maiden, the Dance of Death
Judas Preist, Point of Entry
Celtic Frost, To Mega Theron
Django Reinhardt, The Hot Club of France
Johnny Cash, The Man Comes Around
Hellhammer, Apocolyptic Raids
The B52s, Cosmic Thing
Venom, Black Metal
The Allman Brothers, Live at the Beacon
Black Sabbath, Master of Reality

Still no ipod for me.  I've got a 1000 cds and records, but can never bring myself to spend the money on one.  I guess I'd rather spend the money on a new guitar pedal or something.

If you ever get one as a gift, you'll never go back to not having one.

Seriously though, ipods aren't that great, especially if you don't have an Apple.  I like the Creative players.  They're cheaper, I've dropped mine countless times and it still works fine, and I have never had the firmware crap out on me like when I had an ipod.  Plus, they don't get scratched up as easily as an ipod.  My ipod got a huge scratch on it when it was in my soft cloth pocket.  My ipod died about a month after the warranty expired, but there are 3 Creatives in the family, and the oldest is like 4 years old.  No problems with any of them.
