What was old is new,,,repeat ad nauseum

My 1st Strat decades ago was black, w/ white guard. Being that I was a Floyd fan, and also a southern rock fan (so Hughie Thomasson and Steve Holland fan), the white guard was replaced with a black guard. That guitar is long gone as was a 2 tone sunburst.

Was wanting to do something different with my current strat. Black or 2 tone sunburst? What was old is now new. Yep got a new black body and a black guard. During the transplant of electronics and body hardware, the canary on canary neck was sent off to Cagey for his magic (burnishing, fret job, touch up on the nut and inserts to replace screws).

Hoping to have it all back together within a week or so. Will post some crappy cell phone pic of it LOL.

Its interesting what you do or do not come back to. It can break either way. When I played years ago I only was drawn to sunburst guitars. Now you couldn't probably give me one. I like black like a Model T. Makes for interesting possibilities with neck woods or pick guards. My first Warmoth when I started up again not so long ago is black with a black and silver paisley pick guard. Love it.
