I agree with everyone, but thats what they make pickguards for.  All guitars should be rear routed, the whole frontside route was invented, or perfected by Leo fender to mass produce solid body guitars.

to cover damaged area in the finish acording to his sale, I think he ruined the body, I would take it for a Beg Borrow or steal build, so I can make an axe out of the uglyest shite I can find, but only if it is free.
