Apparently, it's not a Rosewood, per se. Not part of the Dalbergia species. But, it sorta looks like one and has similar qualities, so "Carribean Rosewood" is a marketing name. It's usually referred to as "Chechen", and used for flooring. As far as I know, Warmoth doesn't offer it.
Chechen seemed to go from "What the heck is that?" to "Why the heck doesn't [insert name of famous guitar company] offer it?" in a relatively short space of time. I remember the first time I saw it offered (as an optional fingerboard material from Modulus) it was touted on the merits of its sustainability; nobody was talking about its performance or aesthetics then!
Apparently USACG is now offering Chechen as a fretboard option but to my knowledge they don't have a unique choice category to preview online. You just ask for a Chechen board. I would have liked to have gotten one of the nice Warmoth specimen's from that special run.
