What I decided on for this latest Tele

A nice medium light swamp ash body with fatback goncalo neck as the foundation.

Decided to go with a Gibson mini-hum at the neck, and a Fralin +10 wind hybrid stagger at the bridge.

We'll see how things progress from there.  The Gibby is supposed to be a rather light and airy version of the mini hum.  They've done hot ones in several flavors, as well as this one... time will tell.  It should be here on Tuesday or Wed.  The Fralin should arrive by then too.

The bad news - nobody seems to have a "Fender USA" control plate.  I might have to improvise.

BTW, what is the difference betweem Fender USA control plate and other aftermarket one ?

Every non-Fender control plate I've ever gotten seems to scratch very easily, almost "indent".  To me, the Fender ones are just a little - very little - cut above, and for the few $$ difference, I'll go with those.

If I cant get one... I might go with taipantone and do something like a LP toggle on the plate.

The Fralin came in today - its a 15 percent over, not 10 as they advertised.  Not Fralins problem, its the vendors.  I'm gonna keep it though, just to see what Fralins hottest pickup offers.
