What is the deal with the Babicz stuff? I think I knew at one point, but I forget. Its supposed to be like "full contact" or something right? Any opinions on it yet?

They've basically devised a clever way to allow individual string height adjustment without any gaps between the saddle and the mounting plate like you normally have. The saddle is always in full contact with the plate as opposed to balancing on a couple height adjustment screws, so there are no losses.

Once the height is set, the cam is locked in place with the other set set screw. There's also a locking screw to hold the entire assembly in place once intonation is set. I'm guessing with all that mass so tightly coupled up, you gain some sustain and articulation, which is normally slightly compromised with vibrato bridges.

What everyone else said.  It is about time one of us put one of these together - and this one is fantastic!  I've noticed some lighter weight versions in the shop.  Someone needs to do up a purple one!
