Can't believe I'm selling it after all the time (and money) spent on this one, but here we go: a completely custom finish on this Vortex tiltback neck.
Full specs are:
Construction: Modern Tiltback construction ($173)
Scale: 25-1/2"
Neck Wood: 3A Flame Maple ($200)
Fingerboard and headstock veneer: Ebony ($35) with matching truss rod cover ($20)
Back shape: Clapton soft/medium V ($35) - spec'd at 0.85" at 1st fret and 0.94" at 12th fret.
Frets: 6150 Stainless Steel ($20)
Radius: compound 10-16"
Tuners: Gotoh SG301-MG locking tuners ($55)
Inlays: Azurite Malachite ($20)
Side dots: Mother of Pearl ($25)
Nut: GraphTech Black TUSQ XL ($30)
Finish: blue to green fade dye (Laguna Dragon breath style), finished by Pat Wilkins in gloss polyurethane ($200 for just the clear coat).
Total cost was $813, excluding the fun 6+hours spend on rolling finberboard edges and smoothing those fret ends.
Asking price for UW members: $600 shipping included. Somewhat open to reasonable offers although keep in mind this neck would cost $1100+ if labor was charged...
