Warmoth Satin Neck Finish

What was Warmoth using for satin neck finishes back in 2008?

Was it polyurethane?

My memory tells me the clear satin was nitro.

It's tough to tell by looking, but easy enough to test. Get some nail polish remover (or acetone if you have it around already) and put a drop on the heel. If it eats the finish off, it's nitro. If not, it's poly.

Also, because it's tough to tell it's even finished, Warmoth puts a "dot" sticker on the heel of satin nitro finishes. See the red dot?

I'm not sure how long they've been doing that, though.
