Warmoth 7/8 Strat
Mahogany with Flamed Redwood Top
Mahogany Neck with Black Ebony Board
Schaller 2000 Tremolo
Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge and Phat Cat neck

This guitar turned out way better than I could ever have hoped! I love the way the Flamed Redwood turned out with a natural finish. Plays like butter and the pickup combo is amazing! Warmoth did top quality job on these parts!

Very nice!
I haven't seen redwood as an option on Warmoths site. Was it a temporary thing they offered or were you able to place a custom order?

Thanks!  :guitarplayer2:

Thanks man!

Its not been an option for a long time–I bought this off of a guy who never started the project, old but brand new at the same time.

I really dig the 7/8 Strat size I just wish you could get that size with a Vintage Modern neck with the Fender scale. But the 7/8 Strat is still awesome!

I too dig the 7/8 Strat size, and it is the body I will buy and build eventually.
But I'm the other way when it comes to necks. I will actually put a 24" scale Mustang neck on that body.
I have finally found a way to get that. No other manufacturer that I know offers this.

Ah so you prefer the even shorter scale ;)

Yes, exactly. It took me forty years to realize why I found certain guitars more enjoyable to play than others

But, better late than never, eh?

Ha! Better late than never is right! lol

The main preference I have for a neck is 1-11/16 nut and 9.5 straight radius.

I prefer the Fender scale but the above combo works awesome on my Warmoth 7/8 with the Gibson scale.
