Wanted a quality tele short hardtail bridge. No imports though. Type that captures the 2 end saddles on the outside edge like the hipshot bridge. Hipshot would be awesome.

Rutters has a number of half-bridges, made in USA, but holy smokes, they're the opposite of reasonably priced.

While looking for something else, I came across that same Wilkinson part here for $22 less, if it turns out that's the one you're interested in using. They also have them in black or gold, if needed.

wow that's a good deal. I found a brand new Hipshot like i really wanted for only $48 shipped so bought it. Thanks to all though for the kind help

Good for you! I'm sure the Hipshot is a better bridge. Been a fan of their products for a long time.

That's good to hear. I have never used any of thier products but they all look like quality. Here's the model I bought from an individual. I like how the saddles are trapped between the sides of the plate.

I've used that bridge before. Nice part. The base is solid milled brass, and the saddles are stainless steel. The solid connection with the body (rather than being mounted on posts) is also a Good Thing. Finally, it's just comfortable under your picking/strumming hand. I think you'll be very pleased with how that works out.

Great. I am sure I will like it. I'll post a few pics when I get it done. I have finished staining and tru-oil on the nec but have not started finishing the body yet. That bridge was the last part I needed for the project.

Another fan of Hipshot bridges here, having countour fixed and vibrato’s and a tele style one - they’re very well made and function great.

Also some are available in 7, 8 and 9 string versions if you ever wander into multistrings...  :toothy10:
