Wanted: JB Deluxe 5 body

Is there someone selling JB5 Deluxe body from Warmoth? Wood and color doesn't really matter as well as pickups and cavity route options. I'm just trying to find something to complete the build. I see there are couple of bodies in showcase for ~ $300, one of those black ones might do the work if nothing shows up. Thank you.

On the other hand, I just realised I could buy unfinished body and apply some sort of finish mysefl. I think stain with tung oil finish might be ok - speaking of showcase alder body, right?

Not a bad idea. But, I think if you want to do a stain/oil finish, you might be happier with perhaps some Swamp Ash. Alder is pretty plain, so there's not much to show through a transparent finish.

I don't really need wild wood grain, my second bass has swamp ash with flame maple top, which is enough I think. I'd like to keep the bass quite simple. Also swamp ash is much more porous wood that would need filler = another thing that might get screwed.
Plus those showcase bodies do have quite nice wood considering it's "only" alder.
