Want a new bass neck - not sure what to get ...

Here's what I need:
1. A super straight jazz bass neck (for my P Bass) that doesnt have the usual Fender "ski ramp" past the 12th fret (I use EVERY note he he)
2. Does not warp or have dead spots
3. Does not compromise tone for strength and lightness. I dont mind if it's a small tonal change but I still want it to sound like a P Bass

Things that wont matter to me:
1. How it looks
2. Weight. Well so long as it's not TOO heavy that I cant hold it...

Suggestions folks have made:
Wenge Neck - Ebony Fretboard
Quartersawn Maple Neck and fretboard
Roasted Maple Neck and fretboard

Has anyone had success in creating a neck they can play perfectly anywhere on the fretboard?
Welcoming all suggestions - cheers!

I can't say anything about bass necks but a few months ago I got an unfinished wenge guitar neck with an ebony fretboard and it's my favorite looking and feeling neck of all time. I definitely wouldn't consider it light though.
