vocalists

Whoever said Tom Waits was their favorite singer cracks me up too! Saying Dylan and Tom Waits are great singers is like saying Neil Young is a technical virtuoso on guitar. I'm just sayin....

I can only speak for myself and my choices, but since I started the thread... I never said anything about "great singers". I said vocalists you love. 'Great' singers becomes an issue of who is the 'best' (like the guitar solo thread). I don't care who is best. I want to know who you like to listen to.

I like most of your lists, I didn't see Roy Orbison mentioned,

Dean Martin  (when your done laughing , go listen to some of his stuff. I wish I could sing like that)

Dokken, I agree
Joe Elliot  def leppard
Steve Perry
Klaus Meine (Scorpions)
Barry Gibb (Yeh I burned disco records in the 70's too, go figure)
Celine Dion

Theres so many, and I gotta go get another beer so I'm done

Sammy Hagar
Bon Scott
Dio
Ozzy
Billy Gibbons
SRV
Chris Cornell
Rob Halford
Geoff Tate
Lane Staley
Jerry Cantrel
Kurt Cobain
Elton John

Deano was the shit...... :icon_thumright:

Two (unmentioned) that I really love: Richard Ashcroft (The Verve) and Liam Gallagher (Oasis). I think Richard Ashcroft is one of the best voices/vocalists of all time, and Liam Gallagher is so damned catchy that if he were a disease we'd all be dead.

If anyone mentions Josh Groben , you will be immediately banned for an obscene post ! :headbang1:
