I've fired off an MP3.  It was big, but smaller than the non-compressed version (which was bounced back).

Let me know if you got it!

Got it :icon_thumright: and I think my email file limit is 10mb (might be bigger ???) so most songs should work

Cool.  Here's the track info:
Song title : Angel from Montgomery
Artist: Cornflower Blue
Instrumentation:  2 vocals, shaker, and Kashmir.

What are the basic specs on Kashmir? Tele with a canary neck, right? What else? Or I might be thinking of your 8 Ball..

Alder body, Canary/Canary neck, lollar special 'T' pickups, planet waves tuners... and a B-Bender.  Oh - green and gold paisley finish.

Read about it here:

Hey! Here is my original contribution for the Warmoth Soundtrack, our band name is "At The Forefront", we are a rock band from Denver Colorado! The song is one of our own original tunes called "Our Generation", (don't worry, no profanity)
I played my Warmoth VIP for all the guitars on this track.

Anyway, thanks for compiling everything!

I thought we weren't doing covers?

I guess  I'm supposed to post the info here?

Artist: Gary Drechsel (GoDrex)
Title: The Secret Broccoli
Track time: 2:26
Recorded: July 28th 2009
Equipment used: Warmoth Gold Top LP, Fender Cyber Deluxe amplifier, PC Drummer software (for the bass and drums).
The guitar is an all mahogany, chambered, carved top LP, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 24.75 conversion. Pickup used for the song was a Seymour Duncan C5/'59 hybrid - bridge position.

That sounds like a cool pickup, Can't wait to hear it. How is it "Hybridized"?

one coil is from a Custom and one coil is from a '59 - so basically I took 2 pickups and swapped one coil from each from one to the other. So it becomes hotter than vintage, but not as hot as a Custom (around 11.3k). The idea is supposed to be that since the coils are mismatched you get a more complex tone out of it. One drawback is it's a tad noisier since the coils are so different from each other, they don't cancel as much hum. I don't think you'll be able to notice anything different about it from the recording though. It just sounds like a guitar. I also did double tracking with different amp tones and blended them, so it's pretty much impossible to tell from the rhythm parts what's going on. The solos are pure though.

cool, thanks for the quick reply!
It's always fun to play around with things like magnets and coils.
Looking forward to hearing the track  :headbang:

What's wrong with covers anyhow? Everyone does covers. I submitted an original even though some covers I've recorded are a better showcase for the instruments, thanks guys for putting this together.

member: tfarny
Band: Until Then

Instrument: Hardtail strat, alder w/ maple neck, homespun nitro burst finish, Dimarzio area 58 neck pickup. Amp is a Ceriatone Ultra Champ & Celestion V30.

Covers or not, I just want as many people to submit as possible. I'd love to make this a double disc set for the first album.

Is it legal to publish covers without the permission of the copyright holders?

I know there is several differences between USA and EU regarding copyright matters. So maybe this is a non-issue in the USA?

I think because we're not selling it or making any money of it, it should be okay.

I figured one per person, but how about we cut it at 80 minutes so it'll go on one disc? Then maybe we can do this a few times per year.

I can record a solo type thing for the album using Ableton Live.  I would like to contribute somehow.  If you need some bass, let me know.

did you guys get my track????

Rouse would have to answer that, but if you're referring to the front page its just because I've been busy. I'm adding you now, and cleaning things up a bit so there will be links to the song info instead of just a wall of text.

I'm waiting to see how the poll ends before I submit anything. I don't have anything recorded on either of My Warmoths.

Its currently 22 Yes to 7 No... I'm sorry the rules / guidelines weren't solidified before this shindig got kicked off. Bit of a theme around here I think, but it always seems to work out well in the end.

Yes, I'm glaring at you, AprioriMark.  :guitarplayer2:
