TV Jones pickups in a Humbucker cavity - Humbucker or English mount?

I'm looking to replace the pups in my Epiphone dot studio (read: shitty Casino knock off).  TV Jones has Grestch style pickups in two different mounts that both appear to be compatible with a humbucker cavity.  The humbucker mount looks more like a standard HB, but I'm afraid the sound would be different.  The English mount appears to be traditional Grestch, except with a larger mounting ring.

I'm leaning toward the english mount.  Thoughts?

I would definately get the english mount. But doesn't the Casino Have P90's in it?? In that case it doesn't seem that they offer anything else but the english mount for P90 style pups. Sorry. I just double checked you said a dot studio. That is a 335 knock-off. Go with the english mount still yet. It's a TV jones so let it look like a TV jones. When those dot guitars are good they are pretty damn good. I had a white one with black hardware. I put EMG's in it. It was different looking for sure.

English mount with Gibson ring definitely.  The chrome covers put a signature on TV Jones which mean you are on the high end of things.

Yeppers, English mount as everyone has said. Both will work, but as the spacing is a little different between the poles, there is some tonal change according to Tom.

Thanks guys, english mount it will be.

Regarding the dot studio in question, the setup on the guitar is really well done.  It plays very well and feels great, however, it sounds dark and dingy.  I'm hoping the Gretsch style pups will brighten it up significantly.

Hey Jenks... if you get some free time, I'd like to hear what those TV Jones sound like (with a clip).

I second that emotion.  I'd love to hear them once you get them plopped in, as I'm considering buying those myself.

I haven't ordered them yet, so still going to be a bit, but I can  record a clip once the damage is done.  :)

Also, anyone have tips on swapping pickups in a semi-hollow 335-style body?

Tape the edges of your F holes. Use string or wire or something to put through the holes of each pot and switch and attach it to the shaft of the pot so you can pull them back through. You can also put your pots on the outside upside down and opposite and do as much wiring as possible this way. Replace everything with high quality parts. Good luck!
