Ok just one last question before leaving this thread in victory:

is it normal that after perfect tuning doing some crazy divebombs it will be a hint flat or sharp, but it's so little that you don't hear it, but can see it on the tuner? Most strings are spon on in tune but some can go either way a tiny bit

...have you ever played guitar?

My dads guitar that I usually played on before getting my own would stay perfectly in tune for several months, I never touched the tuners and it was always perfect  :tard: weird but true. It doesn't anymore, but I have played on it A LOT

Aaaargh... Another small but irritating problem.
The A string buzzes on open palm mutings. It's not really a buzz, it's just that whiny sound you get when you palm mute too far from the saddle.
It's not like that on the other strings, even tho I do find it harder to palm mute the higher strings.
It has nothing to do with fret buzz or anything, this is just completely weird.
It wasn't like this a few days ago  :dontknow:

Behold the glory of my now fully functioning Warmoth Soloist!!! It's the sloppy reindition of my own speed metal instrumental "Steelwheeler"

(still that annoying open A-string noise but I don't care for now, I can investigate that sooner or later)

There's no such thing as "perfectly in tune before extended use" either. The nature of the equal-tempered tuning used in Western music so that you can modulate evenly to any key, is that every guitar, piano and other "exact" instruments are all slightly out-of-tune with the "natural" or harmonic series tuning. Gitcha coming, and they gitcha going....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_temperament

One of the reasons slide guitar, and bent-note electric, and voices, and wind instruments, can sound so cool is because they can willfully violate the "ET" intervals and play notes that are really in tune, not just "approvedly ET" in tune.

Wow. For not having a Floyd before, you sure showed it you mean business.
Great playing.  Is a 24 fret neck in your future?

Yep, I have played guitar for some years  :icon_biggrin:

Yup, 24 fret for sure, and hardtail  :glasses9:

Yep that's the way to answer that earlier snidely remark  :headbang:
I can see that Floyd getting an all mighty bashing ......

Nicely played  :party07:

Today I recorded a solo for a swedish synth band, so don't expect anything near shredding  :)

I recorded a simple and rough solo today for one of my less priority projects, enjoy!

Oh by the way, I wanna post guitar videos on an almost regular basis from now on since I find it quite easy and fun to do such videos, I maybe do that in another thread.
Is the gallery section more appropriate???

There's a "Studios and Sessions" folder that would probably make the most sense for that sort of thing.

HAha I never thought of that section like that, thanks a lot. This thread can be locked since my floyd works and I shouldn't use it as self promotion  :icon_biggrin:

You can lock it yourself if you want to.
