Hey all,
First post here, and its purely an aesthetic inquiry.
I'm plotting to put together a guitar using Warmoth's LP neck and, for whatever reason, I really don't like the looks of that rounded-triangle style truss rod cover that is featured on Warmoth necks. And I don't want to leave it uncovered.
The Gibson-style covers have two screws centered at the top and bottom: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/Gibson%20Gear/Accessories/Replacement%20Parts/Truss%20Rod%20Covers/
As far as I can tell this won't work with Warmoth necks because the routed portion extends to the nut. It seems like if I used one of the above covers (I like the blank one) only the top screw would fasten to the neck and the bottom one wouldn't catch because of the truss rod route. Hence Warmoth's triangular screw configuration, which you've probably all seen here: http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/necks/lp_warmothpro.aspx
So if I'm right about this issue, any ideas how I can get what I want without using only one screw?
