Tru oil...to wax or not to wax?

I’m finishing a mahogany tele with tru oil, it’s almost done.
Should I apply birchwood Casey wax once it’s done?
If so, how long should it cure before applying?

I let the tru-oil cure for 6 weeks, before polishing.
