24 frets on WGD body; bad idea or playable enough?

I can’t find any examples of a finished WGD build with 24 frets, but I wanted to see if it was possible. The cutaway obviously isn’t super deep, but with a contoured heel, is it at least practical to have the extended 24 frets?

Just noodling around, I barely go above the 20th fret or so, and usually just use the higher frets for either tapping or just hitting one or two high notes. Sweeping and stuff, even on my shreddy RG, I’ll still usually tap the higher notes if it’s around the 24th fret. So I’m not insanely worried about it being efficient, it just needs to be realistic.

Does anyone have any insight into this? Any personal experience?

No idea about what you're asking, but....

If the cut away in the lower bout isn't deep enough to get to the upper upper frets, assuming the body is unfinished, you could deeper the cut of the recess.

Not that I have a 24 fret neck, but I've deepened the recess on a Strat body to get to the 22nd fret easier.

The cutaway starts pretty much where it starts on a Strat or Tele - right around the 20th fret. While I didn’t have an interesting enough trip around the universe to ever purchase a WGD, my guess is if you wouldn’t play a 24 fret Strat the WGD isn’t going to be any better.

This is all good news though, because nobody actually likes the notes up there anyway. There’s a scientifically provable inverse correlation between guitarists who play that high up on the neck and the number of albums and tickets they’ve sold.
