treble bleed cap+resistor value and wiring?

Well, My first warmoth strat is almost finished.
(ash-body/canary neck, fralin vintage hots)

I just need the knobs, then it's ready for a photo session.  :blob7:

But I have a bit of trouble with the treble bleeding off, when I roll down the volume, so I'm thinking about wiring in a treble bleed cap and resistor.
However, I am unsure as to exactly hot to wire it in, and what values to use.
I've seen pictures of caps ranging from 680pF to 2nF, and resistors ranging from 130-220k.
Also, I've seen them wired both in parallel and series....

So, I wonder if people could chime in with what their values are, and how they arrived at those values/wiring.

Regards.

you can use something like 50pf to about 120pf, no resistor, or with a small value resistor, from about 5k to 25k

you also have to understand all of this is not precise science because it deals with the way we hear things, as well as the technical working of the circuit

all the caps/resistors are a compromise, you cannot have a passive circuit that is flat.  At best some double gang pot with a special second half... would be the best way out, but it would be pickup and amp and cord and string and playing style specific

my own - 50pf on bright pickups, 100pf on humbuckers, silver mica, no resistor

Where do you get a 100pf cap from?

There's a whole page of them here. Problem is, they may have a minimum order amount. Many wholesalers do. But, check it out. If nothing else, you can get part numbers to search for other suppliers.
