Howdy!

Thought I'd introduce myself and ask a couple questions. I'm Dale, 62, and been a guitar and music nut since maybe 13 years old. I have a few guitars but not good at playing them, but I thought I'd take a shot at building a David Gilmour tribute Black Strat (not an exact replica) primarily because I'm not about to pay the prices wanted for used Fender offerings! Here's my Warmoth order:

Other parts not from Warmoth:

920D Custom Stratocaster DG loaded pickguard
Hipshot 6-hole trem
Hipshot open locking tuners
Various Fender hardware
Ernie Ball 2222 Hybrid Slinky .009-.046

What is the average wait for these parts?
What should I watch out for when assembling the guitar?

TIA for your replies and Keep on Rockin'!

Welcome to the forum, normally for Hipshot tuners you would choose the slightly smaller Schaller 25/64" but often they must be opened a bit so the 13/32" should also work.

Wait times. https://warmoth.com/faq#howlong

When assembling, take your time. Ask questions here before if not sure how to proceed. In the meantime check out the links in my signature which have lots of information in them.
