Thoughts on Cordoba Fusion Orchestra Classical

I have always thought it would be cool to have an affordable nylon-string classical guitar (-like the way they sound in certain applications), but every time I check 'em out, the two-inch wide nut and the dead-flat fretboard just turn me right off. But then, yesterday, I stumbled upon a gently used Cordoba Fusion for sale near me, -gonna go check it out tomorrow.

I read up on it, and is sounds like the traditional dimensions have been altered to appeal to regular ol' steel-string pickers, -which sounds enticing in theory, but I am wondering if any of you all have any direct experience with Cordoba products, their quality, tone, etc., -or better yet, have played this very model and wouldn't mind sharing your opinion on it, up to and including what I should expect to pay.

-Share & discuss.

I know nothing about the Cordoba instrument, but I've found that the Yamaha line is well made and definitely affordable used.

There are three used NTX700 guitars (also supposedly laid out to appeal to steel-string players, narrower nut, radiused fingerboard, 14th fret joint) available on the Guitar Center website, one for $359 and two for $349.

Edit - here are the links.

Thanks for looking those up for me, Bagman! That helps me get comfortable about the price-tag on the one I am gonna go test-drive; it is right in that ball-park, -and includes a deluxe hard-shell case with a built-in humidifier to boot! -Finally someone in my neck of the woods is selling a fine used guitar that isn't deliriously expecting to retire on the profit from peddling the holy grail!

Now, are Yamaha and Cordoba comparable in the quality and value of their products?  :dontknow:

-Anyone?

Both Yamaha and Cordoba, have a range of classical or nylon string instruments at varying price points.

I would say go and try the Cordoba and if you like it get it.  Guitars are like wands they find the player, well at least in a Harry Potter movie they might.

Edit: just noticed that was post 666 when made so any reference to magicians, black or white, real or imaginary, living or otherwise is entirely coincidental.

Hahaha! That is funny... the only thing that would've been crazier is if you'd quoted Bagman's GAS ALERT!!!! post about the Baphomet!  :evil4:

-I just did. -Funny thing is, I was researching the model online, and the very first thing I read after checking out the Cordoba website was the original owner's post on a different forum from two years ago when he first purchased this very same guitar! I'd tell ya's all about it, but I guess I'll let the guy I bought it from do that; here's his thread with his initial impression of the Cordoba Fusion Orchestra CD/IN:
