Max,
This is all your fault.  You got me to thinking about this with your thread about the backward guitar.  I started looking in the Showcase and found this one at 3.8 lbs so I pulled the trigger.  I ordered a White/Black/White guard and I’m thinking Burgundy Mist for the color.  This will set for quite awhile waiting for other stuff in front of it but Max I’m going to need your phone number so I can have my wife call you when she finds out.  I’m in trouble and your getting the blame!  :guitaristgif:

What do you think on color options.  It will get a Birdseye Maple Neck.

"Warmoth finish?," I thought, then I saw the poster.

Do it up Hendrix style with White or a Sunburst and a CBS reverse headstock.  Get the bridge pickup with a reverse angle as well, if possible.

You're welcome  :toothy12:

How about this; I'll hide the guitar at my house, but you'll have to paint my tele  :sign13:

Is that swamp ash or alder? I'm no good at telling woods apart.

Burgundy mist? Naaaa!!! Nobody would notice it :icon_biggrin: Why not carry on the theme of the body and do a reversed sunburst, i.e. dark in the middle and getting lighter at the edges. If anyone can pull that off it's you  :icon_thumright:

That's alder, Max.

I'm not big on burgundy mist myself.  How about yellow?  :headbang1:

Holy Sheite!  That's all I have to do?  Blame someone else and let my wife rag on them over it??

I had no idea it was that easy.

Wow it would look like a Bulls Eye.  Creative thinking but I’ll pass on that one.

a CBS reverse headstock.

I will definitely go with a reverse CBS headstock.

How about yellow?

My wife would like yellow but it's not my cup of tea.

How about gold like this one.

so YOU bought it , I was going to do this in a lefty version , I got a hold of terrapin to do that pickguard in polycarbonite and shot him the link only to find out it sold , but then today
I noticed it's back in the showroom . . . what gives ? and they listed it for $300 , I thought it was going for $225 .

any way - go reverse CBS full scallop . I was going to go black hdwre n'  trans blue with ebony board . OHHH . . . and blk FR w/ recessed route .

I made a detailed spec sheet last nite, and contacted tony flying squirrel to shoot me an outline for a lefty version to no avail , but I should be able to make something up myself .

and you might want to consider trading your wife in for a guitar slinging girlfriend . I hope everything works out for you !

With my wife, all my stuff looks the same to her.  If I have more than one bass or guitar, I have too many according to her.  At last count there's 9 in the house.  5 guitars, 4 basses.  "But honey, I only have one Warmoth."  If I have 9, I can easliy hide a 10th no problem.  Besides, it's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.

Yes, but GETTING to the point where you have 9 is the problem...  If I can get past 5 I'll be happy.  Although I have found one partial solution: I actually have about 6 guitars and basses, but it looks like I only have 4...  Because the others are cleverly disguised as parts.  :laughing7:

Could you give a goldtop look? Stain the back or something, and gold on top? I bet that goldish color you've got on that tele would look cool, too.
