Thinline vs chambered body

Greetings,

I am on the brink of bagging a chembered tele body for my second Warmoth project, but before I do, a question. Is it possible to have a legitimate telecaster thinline body constructed with an arm contour? Or am I stuck putting the contour on a chambered body instead? And if so, how much of a hollowbody tone can be had from a chambered body with an F-hole?

I have a bit of nerve damage that prevents me from using a flat top body ever again. I discovered this right around the time that the thinline GAS kicked up. Do the chambered bodies sound anything like a semihollow when the F-hole is added?

Cheers!

Unfortunately, a Thinline cannot have a forearm contour.  The Chambered bodies are more akin to the solid body sound than the Thinline. The F-hole cavity is only a bit larger than the F-hole for Chambered bodies.

I've often wondered about that. From the pictures I've seen of the internals of the chambered bodies, it didn't seem like the f-hole(s) could be anything but a cosmetic feature.
